put / get pictures. files to the HTC TYTN
put the new programs to the HTC TYTN

So you want to mount the microSD card?
The only way I found is using an application named CardExport on the mobile device (same with PalmOS devices, BTW)

On the Xp i can use ActiveSync (on the HTC - windows mobile6.0)

What can i use on the opensuse ?

Tricky. I never got it to work and these days I sync to Outlook on my Windows partition, mainly as a backup.
There’s something available for Thunderbird/Seabird IIRC, and you could use Funambol. Just google around a little, if nobody shows up who has done it successfully.
