OpenSUSE 13.2 and VMWare workstation 10

Hi there,

I went to install VMWare workstation 10 on my OpenSUSE 13.2 distribution. I installed the base development, kernel development and c/c++ development software patterns in order to proceed with my installation. When I get to running VMWare workstation for the first time I receive the following notice from the VMWare kernel module updater:

“Before you can run VMWare, several modules need to be compiled and loaded into the running kernel”.

When I click install, there’s an exclaimation mark next to Compiling: Virtual network device and it throws an error message “Unable to start services”. See log file /tmp/vmware-root/vmware-modconfig-2412.log for details.

What do I need to do to get it working?

Does https://communities.vmware.com/thread/494201 help ?

I tried the patch and it didn’t work; what did work was uninstalling workstation 10 and installing vmware workstation 11.
