I have this strange experience with the new 11.2 live gnome cd.
- first issue: there is no way to copy it to a usb stick and boot from it. I followed the instructions on 2 different sticks with 2 different live images (both x64 not i686) but at boot time same error: no iso image present.
second issue: so I installed via cd, but there is a issue with nvidia cards. Xorg is completely dark. I have to boot with text option enabled, then launch a sax2 -r -m 0=vesa and so I have my gnome desktop and then the installation is easy
third issue: after installation opensuse automatically download 600mb of packages without telling you of its intentions
