OpenSUSE 11.0 screen resolution

Greetings!

I have been using SAX2 in an attempt to set my screen resolution.
The Video is Intel G33 and the Monitor is an ACER LCD 1680 x 1050.

The Monitor model is not in the SAX2 listing, so selecting LCD generic, and selecting 1680 x 1050 or about the next 5 lower resolutions, the system freezes at or shortly after login.

At a much lower resolution (probably the default install) it finally becomes stable.

Any suggestions?

Thank you and Have Fun!

Go to yast2-hardware-graphic card and monitor, under monitor click change, click utility disk and insert the monitor utility disk when prompted.I used to do this before with my samsung lcd monitor and works. I just tried my viewsonic disk and suse 11.0 detected it.
Try it it might work with acer and see the correct model and reolution for your monitor.
