Where did you acquire the openshot package from?

not sure if this is what’s required?

OpenShot is in Yast on openSuse 12.3. Have you checked there?

Try looking in Yast for mlt. There’s a chance if you install OpenShot from Yast, it will also install mlt and whatever else it needs. I think that’s how I remember it… The RPM you mention isn’t for openSuse, so there’s no telling if it will work. “Pbone” might have one that has “opensuse” or something in the file name.

Hi
If you have the packman repository enabled, it should show up. The requirement for the packman version is for python-mlt not mlt as well.

I recommend installing OpenShot from the OSS repos (use YAST) as mentioned earlier in this thread.
You can also install with the following

zypper in openshot

Today, I have found the openSUSE version of OpenShot missing some features (unknown reason why) but at least it works with the features that are in there.
In the past, when I installed OpenShot from any other source, there are missing dependencies and you’ve likely only encountered the first (mit) which will lead you down a very difficult path.

Hi
Are you sure it’s in the official oss repo? Can you provide the zypper
if output?

On openSuse 12.3 I have OpenShot in the packman repo. I didn’t install it, so that’s all I know.

You’re right…
