openFATE won't let users submit new tickets

The openSUSE feature request page openFATE is forbidding users from creating new tickets for several months now. Whenever attempting to do so, the following error message appears:

There are currently no products open for new features.

I’m confused: Aren’t openSUSE Tumbleweed and the upcoming releases active products? There are a few suggestions I wish to bring up there, so I’m hoping this can be resolved soon.

Hi
This falls under SUSE maintainership, I’ve pinged my SUSE contacts to
see what’s up…

It has been like that for a couple of years now. There have never been any openFate projects for any of the Leap version, nor for Tw.

Hi
It needs to be EOL’d…

Yeah, if there are no plans to use it …

Sent an email to heroes@o.o

Heroes normally about saving lives, not raising the dead.

This case is even worse for them: the should kill it.

I filed a bug report a few weeks before this thread:

https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1079816

If taking it offline we need to make sure the many good ideas for features are not lost.

To avoid duplication, I’ll just link to my answer on the heroes mailinglist: https://lists.opensuse.org/heroes/2018-04/msg00007.html
