open Suse crashes

Hello. I am just writing to report that my installation of open Suse 11.1 has been crashing often since I installed it. My PC uses an Asus mother board with phenon x4 processor and Nvidia Gforce 8900 gt GPU.

Until now it had crashed one time while using blender. 2 or 3 times while using gimp, and it ALWAYS craqshes when reading open office documents from a usb memmory.

If you want me to post the output of some file with crash info or something, tell me en i will (because i am far from an expert and i dont know where to find this information).

  1. uninstall or turn off Beagle
  2. turn off desktop effects, spinning cubes and etc

if crashes persist

  1. install and use KDE3 or GNOME

run it several days and if your crashes go away, you will know what
to NOT turn back on…or futz with and pamper to your hearts content…
