Nvidia rtx2060 not working correctly

Hello (:

I just finished installing openSUSE tumbleweed (dual boot with w11) and used the official guide for installing NVIDIA drivers. I have also seen many post regarding similar problems, but I couldn’t get how it applied to my problem.

So the two things I’m noticing are:
-Only 1 fan works (it startsNstop)
-I can’t get over 60hz (thought I’m using DP and I use 180hz in w11)

This OS is so cool, and I want to use it so badd I don’t understand why drivers are just not enough ):

(i’ve seen this is asked in similiar problems so)

I would appreciate a lot any kind of help :3

You need to remove nomodeset from the kernel command line. The Nvidia drivers cannot be used with this option. It is only needed prior installation of the drivers on some machines.
You can remove this option via YaST->Bootloader->Kernel-Options

Also show output of
zypper se -si nvidia

Yay, foremost, thanks for answering.

Yeah, I needed nomodeset at the start, I completely forgot it, thinks still the same thought.

This packages does not match to the others, is a lower version.
install the right one.

You need to replace the kernel kmp package as it is the wrong version.
Open Myrlyn (or YaST Software). Search for nvidia-driver-G06-kmp-default . In the versions tab choose version 580.82.07. Apply . Reboot.

YAY!
It works TY y’all smm :3
I’m curious about why using the official guide on NVIDIA drivers did not work, but I guess NVIDIA drivers i complicated (or at least that’s what lots of pages in this forum make me think hshsh)
