as far as I remember when updating nvidia drivers there is as well the package nvidia-open-driver-G06-signed-kmp-default required which was only available some time later.
It hasn’t be in a while now (for 595.45), so i can not update the nvidia drivers.
Is anyone aware whether it will still be updated for OS 15.6?
v595 is G07 and v580 is G06 . Both are available for Leap 15.6
Simply use the meta kmp and it should pull the matching drivers.
I don’t really know the answer, but:
- nvidia-open-driver-G06-signed-kmp-default comes from SUSE
- SLES 15.6 is EOL (see lifecycle/#suse-linux-enterprise-server-15)
- Leap 15.6 itself will be EOL on Apr. 30
so I guess nobody will take the time to upgrade the Nvidia driver, given that 580.126 still works and no upgrade to the kernel is going to happen anyway.
Time to upgrade to Leap 16?
