Which Nvidia driver do you install?

From Repo?
Then post:

zypper se -si kernel nvidia

Also post the type of your graphics-card:

/sbin/lspci -nnk | grep -EiA3 'vga|3d|display'

And your Repolist:

zypper lr -d

Also rename your /etc/X11/xorg.conf, its not needed.

Yes I followed this guide: SDB:NVIDIA drivers - openSUSE Wiki. All downloaded from the OpenSuse nVidia repos

Ok here’s the output of all the commands you have requested for me to run

1: kernal<>kernel, see your zypper se -si kernel nvidia

2.: do you rename the /etc/X11/xorg.conf and restart your PC?

I’ve been using the G04 drivers with the various 700/900/1000 series nvidia cards in my house. I wasn’t even aware of the existence of G05 ones. Are you using a very new card?
