Hi!
I just installed OS11.1 and everything seems ok.
Its missing Nvidia-driver and im wandering if there is a working
Nvidia-driver for my laptop:
Dell Latitude D830
Nvidia Quadro NVS 140M
I add Nvidia-repository, but it seems there is no drivers for OS11.1
It worked with OS10.3 and OS11.
Nvidia doesnt have driver on theirs support-web-pages but the have som
BETA Drivers from 2007.
I tried to install the normal Nvidia Driver that shows up in Software
Manager, but then it almost crash the computer.
Also this repository for 11.1 nvidia. Once you install the repo, Yast
auto selects the RPMs for you. http://download.nvidia.com/opensuse/11.1/
You can’t browse the repo. You can use the URL in Yast → Software
Repos → Add URL.
I installed Nvidia driver “GF6 or newer” and the computer boot up but
come with 1024x768.
Nvidia Configuration doesn not start at all and the computer is
extreemly slow.
I manage to start “nvidia-settings” in CLI and then i could set
resolution. Then it works!
I think Nvidia driver/software is not bugfree, but now it looks good on
my screen
