Tumbleweed with xfce on my new rig
Pretty desktops, really. What I am wondering about is: highest uptime I see in the screenshots is less than 5 days, and many are only some few minutes (correct me if I am wrong). My Linux uptimes are in the range of several months, using hibernate whenever possible, so I can keep my numerous virtual desktops with all the terminal and editor windows which saves me lots of time.
What are you actually doing with your Linux desktop installations?
@M43K8M Most of mine are test systems, don’t need to be running all the time ![]()
My ADS-B system 15:35:02 up 115 days 21:02, 1 user, load average: 0.52, 0.62, 0.62
My RPi3 GPS Time Server 15:35:18 up 190 days 14:30, 1 user, load average: 0.00, 0.00, 0.00
My primary desktop is Tumbleweed, depends on what has been updated and requires a system reboot, or modifying settings etc.
watching cat videos and playing arc raiders
Same. I am not concern with uptime on this box, since it isn’t hosting anything terribly important.
