Why does Novell put barriers in the way of reporting bugs? I’ve just
modified a bug in bugzilla, logged off, and then realised I needed to modify
another report so I log back in - only I don’t! The system logs me into the
Novell Customer Centre, https://secure- www.novell.com/center/regadmin/jsps/home_app.jsp, where there is no obvious
way of getting into bugzilla. OK, I know of a couple of other ways to get in
but what is the point of having a system that’s so stupid? As I heard
someone comment about a software system some years ago, “it’s about as user-
friendly as a cornered rat!”

I does with me sometimes as well. Don’t know what triggers the alternate
exits. I think this time I entered through clicking on a hyperlink in an
automatic e-mail informing me of a change. Don’t know why that should make
any difference as it’s also linking to bugzilla.novell.com. Perhaps it
makes a difference as to where and which link I click on when logging off.
The whole Novell bug-reporting system usually manages to provide me with a
painful experience when I have to use it. KDE’s is a little better but
still far from perfect.
