After installing Tumbleweed, I got files that cannot be reproduced due to some missing codecs. Is there a quick solution to this?

P.S. I’ve read about some switch that should be made but I don’t wanna do something that will break the system.
Install codecs from the Packman repository. The standard repos do not include patent-encumbered technologies.

How can I add the repo and what is the command to install these codecs? I’m relatively new to this after years with Debian based distros.

One comment, though. I’m using MX as my main distro and there’s no hitch with the codecs after the installation. OpenSuse should take care of that so that the new user doesn’t have to deal with that when they try to play a video file. And I mean what I said in a good way.
Note the name openSUSE The distro is open source only many codecs are encumbered thus can not be distributed.
MX, as a distribution, made their decision regarding patent-encumbered technologies.
openSUSE made a different call - having SUSE as our main sponsor, SUSE could potentially be a target for litigation, and that is one reason why openSUSE doesn’t include those tools and technologies.
There’s a long history behind the decision.
I understand. That’s something that should have been resolved by now… There should not be any proprietary codecs in the 21st century. We’re past the time when companies made money from this…
