No audio devices found, I have no sound

Hi there, I know nothing about hardware so I’m not sure how I can relay info specs and devices. I just installed leap 16 and when I play a video or music there is no sound and when I click the speaker icon ln the task bar, it says no audio input or output device found. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

Please post the result of inxi -ASzusing pre-formatted text tags (the </> button above the editing area.

Hi there, do I type inxi -ASz in the terminal? When you say “above the editing area” is this also the terminal? Please give me an hour or two, and thnx for responding

Open a terminal emulator, type in inxi -ASzthen select with the mouse what is shown in the terminal “screen”, hit CTRL+Shift+C to copy that text.
Best if you can include the full command line and the trailing prompt line as well.
When you answer here on the Forum in the web interface, above the text area there are a few tools, hit the </> tool (button) and paste what you have copied from the terminal replacing “Preformatted text”, the result should be highlighted in grey, like in Preformatted text.

Thanks for the instructions. Here’s the paste

Just asking, is sof-firmware installed? If not, install it.

It’s bed time here. I’ll check/install it tomorrow and let you know if that solved the issue. Thanks
