I’m a web based user, but I retain NNTP mainly for monitoring as a
moderator to see if a post makes it through the NNTP gateway, when
moving a thread.
I use the basic Thunderbird application interface for receiving NNTP posts.
It appears to be working well for me (I did not try to connect during
the long outage)
But I am looking now, and thus far I have not had to re-subscribe to any
sub-forum areas. Hence from my view things seen to be back on track.
