Hi all…
Has anyone else noticed that the Plasma ‘Night Light’ function has quit working after the latest Plasma version update? (Tumbleweed, all updated including Plasma 6)
On my system, Night Light (which used to be called ‘Night Color’) will never dim the screen, even if set to "on always’.
This used to work flawlessly!
…just wondering if this is specific to my system, or a real bug in Plasma 6…
Any comments welcome!

I am using Tumbleweed with actual Plasma6 too an I haven’t any problems with the nightlight.
It might be helpful to share your particular system and graphics details
inxi -SGa
I’m not certain, but the global theme and/or plasma style may also be relevant here perhaps?
cat ~/.config/kdeglobals | grep -i look
cat ~/.config/plasmarc
Something to try: Create a new ‘test’ user and then login as that user. Does ‘Night Light’ work for that user?
O.P. here…
I was about to give some info, but after system reset the Night Light function is working! Nevertheless, here we go…
rkruse@SUSE-Ryz7:~$ cat ~/.config/kdeglobals | grep -i look
rkruse@SUSE-Ryz7:~$ cat ~/.config/plasmarc
cat: /home/rkruse/.config/plasmarc: No such file or directory
Is this wrong? The first ‘cat’ returned nothing; the second returned “No such…”
Here is my 'System Info"

Good to read that ‘Night Light’ is now working as expected. (BTW, the missing configs are not an issue.)
