I have 2 identical machines. One with 11.3 and one
with 11.4 RC1
They both connect to a 11.3 nfs4 server using ldap and automaps
The 11.3 get the username right if you right click in Dolphin and view
permissions whereas the 11.4 shows user and groups of 4294967294
This used to happen on the 11.3 machine until I added
NFS_START_SERVICES = “yes” in /etc/sysconfig/nfs on
both the server and the client, apparently because you
need idmapd in nfs4 to get the usernames
Has anyone tried this ( or similar ) is there something else I
need to do now ?
