So my question, how to do this on openSUSE tumbleweed?
AOC 24 " 1980 * 1080
Monitor support it, so does my vid card Rx 570. That is the only part I do understand.
Just tried a movie and saw screen tearing, as I am used too on Linux but now wondering if this can be fixed with AMD free sync?
Last time I dove into this subject people ( AMD and Nvidia) blamed the X server for the screen tearing.
Please note that you must have a Display Port Freesync compatible monitor.
FreeSync over HDMI is not currently supported
To verify that your system supports FreeSync, please follow these steps:
[ul]
[li]Run 'DISPLAY=:0 xrandr --prop'[/li][li]The output will show EDID information for all displays. Noteworthy parameters are the following:[/li][li]freesync_capable[/li]
[li]0 = display does not support FreeSync[/li][li]1 = display supports FreeSync[/li][/ul]
[li]freesync[/li][ul]
[li]0 = FreeSync is currently disabled[/li][li]1 = FreeSync is currently enabled[/li][/ul]
Have to figure how to use that commando and will, but for now to answer the connection part.
