New Epson Printer Drivers For RPM Distros Like Open Suse

The new Epson Linux printer drivers can be found here: EPSON Download Center

They were released in November and December of 2023. I looked for Epson drivers three months ago and there was nothing there.

There are four separate packages each documented with separate PDFs. I installed the packages then used Yast to configure the printer using a USB connection. CUPs is supported for printers on the network.

Epson Printer Utility for Linux
Epson Scan 2
Epson PC-Fax Driver for Linux (Optional)

Did you manage to install Epson Printer Utility for Linux as well?

Firstly - Welcome to the forum Szkodnix.

I did try installing the the Epson Printer Utility but no luck. I use Tumbleweed rather than Leap, so the ‘lib’ rpm’s change quite often. I have occasionally in the past had it working but not often.

I installed on Leap 15.5. It works fine.

Epson and HP printers work well with Suse.
