Netgear RangeMax Dual Band Wireless-N USB (WNDA3100)

I have several network cards and this one Netgear RangeMax Dual Band Wireless-N USB (WNDA3100) ] is the one I would like to use to connect to my network… I searched opensuse for any relevent topics to this device and found none, was wondering if opensuse supported it. If so, method of installment since I am unfamiliar with opensuse, been a while since I used linux period, last time I used it I was successful with ndiswrapper in ubuntu on a different device.

I found a post for someone using a different Linux distro that got their adapter to work at:

[ubuntu] HOWTO: Netgear RangeMax Dual Band Wireless-N 300 USB Adapter (WNDA3100) [Archive] - Ubuntu Forums](http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-885520.html)

Sounds like you need to use the Windows driver and ndiswrapper to use it in Linux. The reviews I saw said it had limited range and perhaps this adapter will be more trouble than it is worth to use under openSUSE. The very first laptop I had under SuSE 10.0 required that I use the Windows driver and ndiswarpper to make it work. It was a lot of trouble, but it did work OK however.

Thank You,

Thank you, it didn’t occur to me to look on there for the answer, limited range is just fine for me though it picks up my router just fine and works just fine in other wifi places… if I was going for range id get a more powerful card but their more expensive so usb close range for dekstop works out well. Thank you again and will try it out.
