I have 5 pc’s i want them to send all local mail to pc1 which wll hen forward it to whatever pc it is addressed to. i want to be able to read mail with thunderbird on either pc5 (mostly) and also on pc1, I would like to do this having pc’s 2 through 4 send mail to pc1 which would then relay it to the proper pc
The mail sent is things like cron output and some text info from other programs.
I have struggled with postfix and cannot get it to work. I can telnet from pc5 to pc1 in both directions on ports 25 and 110 just fine. Thunderbird Is there a standard config for something like this?
My tunderbird tries to lgin to pc1 from pc5 but this always results in thunderbird saying pc1.mydomain with username myusername failed.
i do have xinetd.d and qpopper and all I want is local network pop3 service
This used to all work until a couple of updates ago and i do have backups i can easily pull files from which i have tried but i just cant get thunderbird to work
