Nautilus itself - use settings

I am using Gnome and Nautilus 2.24.1 on my Suse 11 system.
I like it, but what I DON’T like about it is the way Nautilus tends to open each new folder in a new window. In fact, that drives me nuts. I cannot find anything in the settings that will let me select to “use the same window”, or something like that.

Also if I try to select and drag multiple folders at the same time, it behaves strangly, wanting to open them.

How can I make Nautilus correct it’s naughty behaviour?

Open Nautilus / Edit / Preferences / Behavior > [x] Always open in browser
windows

Open Nautilus / Edit / Preferences / Behavior > ·] Double click to open

THT

Greetings,

Camaleón

Thanks.
I would never have thought of selecting that because I thought it would
make the windows look all cartoony, like MS Windows
(I tend to call Microsoft Windows a “cartoon driven interface” )
