Mysql Workbench does not show results

Hi all,
I have installed MySql Workbench, however when I submit a query I cannot see the results. The grid is completely missing. The results are there, but I cannot see them.

I have found this: https://forums.opensuse.org/showthread.php/502491-MySQL-Workbench-6-2-Result-grid-not-displaying?highlight=mysql+workbench
and this: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/24739198/mysql-workbench-not-displaying-query-results

Both links seem to hint that the problem has been fixed long ago, but I am still experiencing it.
I am on tumbleweed 20150603 and the MySql Workbench package is v6.2.3-2.2.

Anybody else seeing this?

TIA
Cris

Well, apparently the fix never was submitted to Factory, only 13.2.
You probably should reopen the bug report or file a new one.

According to the upstream bug report (https://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=74147), the issue should be fixed in mysql-workbench 6.2.5.
So somebody would just have to update the package to the latest upstream version…

PS, to avoid misunderstandings:

I mean the openSUSE bug report, 904767 – mysql-workbench empty grid result, incompatibiliity with libglib_2.42

Thank you wolfi!
Bug reopened.

Cris

Can you please try the package from here?
http://software.opensuse.org/download.html?project=home%3Awolfi323%3Abranches%3Aserver%3Adatabase&package=mysql-workbench

This has the patch added.
If it works, I’m going to submit it.

Thank you very much wolfi: it is working now!

Cris

Ok, thanks for reporting back!

I created a submit request with the fixed package for the server:database repo now. Should be available in Tumbleweed a few days after this has been accepted then.

AIUI, it is not possible to update to 6.2.5 at the moment because of the build requirements.
At least the update to 6.2.4 got held back because of that, see also the discussion here:

If you want, you can install my version 6.3.3 from here: mysql-workbench 6.3.3
