I installed Packman from the command line, but apparently it is invalid for LEAP 16. It gets disabled by Myrlyn, but there seems to be no GUI way to remove it.
It is easy to find:
Myrlyn->Extras->Configure Repositories
Mark the repo->Delete
Why would one look under Extras? Now I know.
There is no PackMan repo yet for Leap 16.0, so that repo that you added with the commandline (zypper ar ?) is invalid, so it couldn’t be loaded or refreshed, so Myrlyn tells you about that error, and that it disabled it.
But you can of course still open Myrlyn’s repo configuration, select it and delete it. I just tried to verify, and it works.
It’s easy to test with sudo zypper ar http://foo.bar foobar, then start Myrlyn. It will tell you
Refreshing repository “foobar” failed.
This repository is now disabled for this program run.
Now open the “Extras” menu, then “Configure Repositories”, select the “foobar” repo there, click “Delete”, confirm; it now tells you “Restart needed!”, so when you close that window, it terminates, and you can start it again.
So no, it’s not true that Myrlyn in 16.0 cannot remove repositories. It can.
And BTW Myrlyn is prepared for those PackMan community repos when they appear on the server, but they are not available yet:
This is not activated yet because it would only cause errors if a user should try to add them already.
I “added” Packman to my repos via commandline in the process of trying to get videos to play now, before Packman . . . which I succeeded in doing. But then Packman “errors out” when running a zypper.
I just unchecked the “enabled” box in YaSt . . . if and when Packman becomes available, very simple to check “enable” again, and the packages will be pulled in via zypper.
