'My Posts' issue

Clicking on ‘My Posts’ (sidebar) yields

Anyone else experiencing the same?

Works for me (Chromium 131.0.6778.204).

Might be account related. Failing consistently regardless of the browser/platform used.

FWIIW, I so not get your error page.

I do get however a random post from myself. No idea what the use of this is. Well. on “hover over” the My Posts item, it says “My unposted drafts”. Thus it maybe that I once created a post, but did not send it. Maybe you do not have one and that createss the error instead of a useful message?

Going from above, I deleted that draft (there was a an icon for that). The page then changed to a message saying there are no drafts.

Now the “hover over” says something different and clicking gaves me a list of recent posts.

O Joy, I want to repeat this (to see the exact text of the new “hover over”, but it again says “My unposted drats” ad on click shows this very post I am composing.

Glibberish feature. but not your error.

Work with Chrome 131.0.6778.265 and Windows 10 22H2. Later I will try it with openSUSE Leap 15.6

PD: Work withe Chrome 131.0.6778.264 and openSUSE Leap 15.6 :+1:

I can reproduce that error:

That is by typing over the URL.

If I hover over “My Posts” it gives not this type of url but https://forums.opensuse.org/u/<uid>/activity/drafts and that works fine.

Yes, other user names work for me as well.

Are you supposed to be able to do it for other users?

If you look at this page, your activity can be filtered by multiple criteria, including Drafts messages. May be it remembers the last used choice.

I do not think so but then it would hit not a 500 “Internal Server Error”

What is the url you see when you hover over “My Posts”?

It is https://forums.opensuse.org/u/<uid>/activity/ but if I edit the URL to something else then it is ok eg
https://forums.opensuse.org/u/<uid>/activity/read
or
https://forums.opensuse.org/u/<uid>/summary

Now that I’ve visited that profile page it is working, so maybe it did remember the https://forums.opensuse.org/u/<uid>/activity URL previously, and that lead to the generic server response. Anyway, thanks for you input on this. All good now.

Interestingly, if I use another UID (eg yours @marel) then
https://forums.opensuse.org/u/<uid>/activity succeeds showing all your recent activity, where as mine does not (only the server error).

I can confirm what you did

  • i see correctly my posts
  • if I change to user @marel I see his posts (I think this behaviour is not correct in the sense that myPosts are not others posts)
  • if I change to your user I get server error

Yes, I see that error using “firefox 128.5.1esr”.

If I hover over the link, I see “https://forums.opensuse.org/u/nrickert/activity”. If I add “/drafts” at the end, then the link works. But I don’t happen to have any drafts.

I have seen this on occasion - it’s something account-specific, but I haven’t been able to track it down yet.

I tested using a variety of browsers on different platforms - it is account related.
