Few days ago I upgraded MPlayer 1.0rc4_r33179 from Packman repository in SUSE 11.4 x64 and playing MPEG or VOB files with VDPAU gives strange vertical stripes (distortion) now. I have got latest nvidia repo driver (260.19.44) for GT430 and there was no problem before upgrade. Previous version of MPlayer was 1.0rc4_r33082. When I switch to “xv” video output, everything goes without distortion. I was looking for previous package, but it isn’t available yet. As GUI I use Smplayer. Have anybody the same problem? Or should I wait for next MPlayer release from Packman repo?
