I just installed the 11.4 version after using numerous previous versions. During this install the /usr directory was placed in a separate partition. How would I go about placing it in the partition with all the other running directories?

Err, why not just cp, reboot, rm?
In order to have placed /usr in a separate partition you would have had to specify that in the install. It soes not happen by itself.

Because he has just installed.
And it is not as simple as cp.

Just one other thing … make sure to tar up /home if you’ve used 11.4 since your install (and saved anything there), so you don’t lose anything if /home isn’t on it’s own partition l – the original post doesn’t say.

Absolutely.
Perhaps he had a spare partition he wanted to use, and specified the wrong
mount point in the drop list.

Yes, I took the default when it found that the /usr directory could be placed in another partition as I do have several partitions.
