I can’t seem to move the icons back to the right on the taskbar. I right click, go to panel settings and then I can move them but once I move them to the right they just flick back to the left again?
any help appreciated
You are welcome here. And we will try to help you, if you provide information to us mere normal people. We are not clairvoyant.
Can you at least tell us which level of openSUSE you use? And while one of the the things that is understandable from your problem description is that it is something with icons and thus most probaly involves a desktop, tell us which desktop.
And a more precise description is also needed. You right click where?, etc., etc. It is not easy to exactly describe things in a GUI and thus you must put more effort in making things clear to us.
hi, I am using opensuse 12.1 and desktop is KDE. My problem is when i first installed the time and other icons on the bottom panel were on the right of the panel. Some how they moved to the left and now i cant figure out how to get them back (The icons are volume, wireless, time and the scissors). I can right click on the panel, go to panel options and then panel settings and then I can move the icons but if i move them anywhere they will always flick back to where there are now ( on the left next to the menu button)

its ok now I think it was because I had added spacers some how which was blocking the icons moving out of the space. All sorted

Are you aware of the fact that you can “lock widgets”? It will prevent some of the actions that make things move or disappear unintended. You can see that one e.g. by right click in empty space in the panel or the desktop.
