(I’m not sure I appreciate the implication that I need a new computer.)
Is there anything to tweak to expedite the processing?

Hi
Tumbleweed 20201125, gnome-shell, no issues with a Logitech M510, batteries ok, my receiver is close to the mouse, distance can sometimes be an issue…

Those “… event processing lagging behind …” errors seem to have ruffled quite a few feathers. See some of the comments following this post: https://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=Libinput-1.16-RC for example, or again here: https://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/slackware-14/libinput-warning-message-4175680580/

In practice, if your mouse is working without any apparent issues… then I’d ignore the errors.

distance can sometimes be an issue…

Hmm. I wouldn’t’ve thought 6 feet (2 meters) a length too far… I will move the mouse and receiver closer, to about a meter.
(Less than 5 minutes passes.) Nope. “…lagging behind by 14ms, your system is too slow”

Despite the messages, unless there’s an tangible issue evident, I’d follow Tannington’s advice and ignore it.

Ignore it I can do.
