Giga-Byte [b]GA-B250M-D3H (rev. 1.0) motherboard with Intel® B250 Chipset works great. So does Asus [b]PRIME B250M-C/CSM. I have both 15.0 and TW on both, along with Debian Buster and Bionic *buntu. ASUS PRIME B250M-A](https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/PRIME-B250M-A/) worked fine too while I had it. I returned it because it lacked a DisplayPort.

We’ve had a couple of the GA-970A-DS3P (My mothers and my current desktop, rev 1 version I think) what seems a long while and we’ve had no problems with them on Linux. The only thing I think you still need to do with them is use the iommu=soft parameter.

I had to set in the bios. ‘iommu=enabled’ to get the my logitech mouse to work. In my many notes for linux, I had it printed for later reference. Thanks mrmazda and Jon.

I’v placed the order and received it. Installed with one problem and fixed that.

Now to deal with my laptop problems(another forum post).

That’s great to know. Got the same mobo. Does it run fine with Kaby Lake CPU on the default Kernel 4.12.x?

Which of the three is “the same”/“it”? All three run/ran Kaby Lake. The remaining two run fine regardless of kernel, but their 15.0s are on kernel-default-4.12.14-lp150.12.22.1.

Haha I see what I did there. Got the Gigabyte B250 with Kaby Lake + Radeon RX570. Was hoping for a smooth experience on Leap 15 without Kernel mods etc. Recently sold my Ryzen setup because the Linux integration is still too shaky in my view.

Did you try using the B250 without the RX570 installed? The Intel HD Graphics 630 here works just fine for me.
