Missing signature file message during boot

Hello,

In January I have installed Aeon on a Laptop and a Desktop. Default installation, nothing special.

On both machines during boot there is a single message line displayed on the monitor:
Warning: signature for the prediction file is missing

Both machines work without any problems, I use both on a daily base.

What does cause this warning? How can I get rid of it?

Many thanks and kind regards
Stephan

Are you using grub2 or systemd-boot?

It has nothing to do with hardware, it should be moved into Install/Boot/Login.

It is a grub based installation

@stepkun Aeon uses systemd-boot? I see the warning on the couple of systems I have here, one is TPM only, the other TPM and secure boot enabled.

There is an open bug report.

In this case you can remove sdbootutil-dracut-measure-pcr package. The message comes from the service checking that the root filesystem has not been replaced.

That is actually incorrect. grub just forwards LUKS key to the initrd; device is still unlocked by user space. So this service may be used with grub as well.

Thank you,
you are right, my installations are not grub based. I was confused, because both have a grub configuration in /etc, which I expected only to exist on grub based installations.
