Hi
I have just had to repair my kernel, and my windows partition has disappeared from the boot loader, even though it is still there on the system.
How do i edit the boot loader to add other partitions w/o having to ‘break’ the kernel again please?

That would be either /boot/grub/menu.lst , or YaST / System /
Bootloader.
Kind regards,

Thank you.
Im trying to do with through YAST but don’t know what ‘section type’ to use? There are several - the image section only gives the linux and swap partitions, and i’ve trued the menu section and it didnt work.
Probably you should let it propose a new configuration. Use the right hand lower button called Other → Propose New Config.
For more on this see “Step 2” et seq. in this tutorial:
GRUB Boot Multiboot openSUSE Windows (2000, XP, Vista) using the Grub bootloader.
