MicroOS builds for Harvester

Hello everyone,

I’ve recently migrated my homelab and startup infrastructure to Harvester HCI, and I’m really enjoying the experience so far. However, I’ve been looking for official or community-provided OpenSUSE VM images for Harvester and noticed that only noCloud images are available.

While noCloud is helpful, I often run into issues with cloud-init, particularly when using MicroOS. This has made it difficult to provision RKE2 clusters via Rancher using MicroOS on Harvester.

It would be incredibly helpful if prebuilt Harvester-compatible images for OpenSUSE (especially MicroOS) were available. This would streamline the process of spinning up clusters entirely on OpenSUSE within Harvester.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help or point me in the right direction!

Sure you are using openSUSE ? Not SUSE?

@klesti You might want to ask on the Slack Rancher Users #harvester channel…

@klesti Are you already aware of the images provided here? Portal:MicroOS/Downloads - openSUSE Wiki

…not directly Harvester images, but at least OpenStack Cloud and Qemu.
