I recently downloaded my gmail account , and dumped 11k plus files in a 3gb+ backup folder. While running brave and co-pilot, my memory started to flood to the extend where only alt+printscreen REISUB was the only solution to have it do something.
I ran the following commands after reboot and an update to try and find the culprit.
$journalctl -b -2 -p err…emerg
these logs were filled with KDE/Powerdevil/ksystemstats errors (see below ). This was the session that needed the REISUB procedure.
On a fresh reboot I noticed that it is still flooding very slowly. And the memory/cpu hogger I tried to find using the following command.
ps aux --sort=-%mem|head -6

Now it is still very slowly flooding. Maybe a reboot will help, but I don’t feel confident that this is over next time. Any advice?
