Mailprovider closing shop. Need to change mail adress. How?

I didn’t find any place to change my adress, just that the ID-provider(?) can do it. How to proceed?

@wodenhof It’s in the Forum FAQ’s https://forums.opensuse.org/faq#id-email-change

Thanks a lot. But Christ, is that unnecessarily complicated. First change your password and then dig around until one finds the correct page to (hopefully) change ones mail address…

Not your fault, I’m aware but who programs user-interfaces this way. Tsss.

Huh?

Have you tried to click it?

That is not what I see.

So I followed this trail. Didn’t work either, somewhere inside I gave the new email, but the announcement of your posts go to the old one.

Use “Kontozugang schützen”

Is a little bit misunderstanding, better is “E-Mail Adresse ändern” as in English…

Tried that already as written above. This is what I see:

The altered email address doesn’t work, I get mails at the soon to be deleted account.

Okay, I changed the language settings to “English” et voilà I got the popup / menu you posted and (hopefully) changed the mail address there. Problem solved.

P.S.: This is a bug in the account self-service software…

The method to change the e-mail address openSUSE-wide, does not fully work.

I had to create a second account, solely to submit bug reports, because any change made to the e-mail address in the profile, does not propagate to openSUSE’s Bugzilla.

Not okay, didn’t work. Hello SUSE? Somebody there? You have bugs…

My account will be closed end of the year.

@wodenhof Forum Staff have no control over the login system, jump on IRC or Matrix and ask the Admins if they can help. Likely easier to create a new account and we can merge your posts?
