Can someone back me on this with M3 64-bits (or 32).
Open root terminal, type in ‘alsaconf’ and tell me if your sound device gets removed. You will see the kmix icon disappearing and a small window will pop-up saying that your card has been removed and what to do about it. (don’t worry, reboot and it will be back ;))
Then continuing alsaconf setup does not find any card, of course.
