LX8 Logitech Mouse

Hey all,

After having problems for some time with an older HP mouse (still used a ball for the mouse), I finally upgraded and purchased a LX8 Logitech Wireless mouse. The problem is that there are no drivers currently available on the Logitech website that support Linux. The mouse itself works fine, but the sensitivity is very high (all I have to do is move about 1-inch to move across the screen) and the horizontal scroll button doesn’t work. My question is: how would I get these buttons to work on OpenSUSE. I also use a G11 for the keyboard, and I’m still trying to figure out how to get the media keys to work, so I am kind of upset that I doesn’t have support (driver-wise) for the peripherals I bought. I bought them for the functions they include, and it’s frustrating not being able to use them after I spent my money on them. Any ideas for finding driver support would be great!

Thank you!

have you try playing with these config:

(kde3 control center) >> Hardware >> Mouse

and for keyboard,

(kde3 control center) >> Regional & Accessibility >> Keyboard Layout,

look at “Keyboard model” drop down list.
