Lots of kernel warnings after kernel update

Hi,
After updating a Leap 15.4 pc I get lots of these messages when I enter dmesg:

The above message is repeated lots of times.

The new kernel version is 5.14.21-150400.24.84-default.
When I reboot and select kernel 5.14.21-150400.24.81-default, everything is fine as usual.
Is this a bug? I simply wait until the next kernel update?

Thanks!

I would say that when you haven’t them in the last kernel, but have them now, this is worth a bug report.

Yep, seems like a bug:

@Teuniz Since your kernel is tainted, you might need to remove the modules causing this and reduplicate…

[ 6.188225] Supported: No, Unsupported modules are loaded
[ 6.188228] CPU: 0 PID: 1362 Comm: X:cs0 Tainted:

I guess that’s the virtualbox driver (from the opensuse repo):

[ 5.697500] vboxdrv: loading out-of-tree module taints kernel.
[ 5.697686] vboxdrv: module verification failed: signature and/or required key missing - tainting kernel

I’ll try tonight without vboxdrv.

The kernel is retracted:

So delete Version 5.14.21-150400.24.84.1

Wondered why I was running out of space on / today! My messages and warn logs were filling up at a crazy rate.

For anyone landing here and needing help to remove the retracted kernel, there are instructions here: Installing multiple kernel versions | Reference | openSUSE Leap 15.5

I had to scroll down to the bottom of the list of versions to find the retracted kernel to remove. You may have to do the same.
