I think that’s the question. I have no Idea how to use Cockpit. That includes even accessing it, which raises the question how do you access the settings when you have no internet connection?

Firefox detected a potential security threat and did not continue to localhost. If you visit this site, attackers could try to steal information like your passwords, emails, or credit card details.
localhost:9090 uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is not trusted because it is self-signed.
