Just a question to the experts here.
The (security) updates for Linux, and Leap in particular, takes care of cpu ucode updates (correct me if I’m wrong).
So, with regards to ucode updates, it’s not absolutely necessary to update the motherboard bios/firmware?

The microcode updates are distributed via the ucode-intel and ucode-amd packages.
BIOS updates may contain additional fixes for the motherbord firmware/issues/compatibility/stability.
