Link as wallpaper

How does one configure a system to go to a link to get a wallpaper graphic? I’m using an OpenSuse build from the Studio.

The machine is essentially a kiosk, and I want to pick wallpaper based upon where it is deployed. Its IP will determine which server it hits, and that server will provide the graphic.

Thanks!!

Also, it is Gnome.

Hi
The default is set in a schema file in /etc/gconf/schemas
and it’s called desktop_gnome_background.schemas

Now it sets the file called

/usr/share/pixmaps/backgrounds/gnome/background-default.jpg

So if you create a script (a run once one maybe) that identifies your
location then uses wget to download and overwrite the file you should
be good to go…
