Libreoffice HUGE UI, scaling issue

Hello,

Out of a sudden, libreoffice starts with a huge scaled UI and pop up windows are also broken due to this, making it impossible to press any options. Drop down menus are fine.

I am on latest Tumbleweed snapshot with KDE and wayland with a 3 monitor setup (all monitors with 1920x1080 resolution) but didn’t notice when it started to behave like that.

I have also tried to start the apps with

SAL_FORCEDPI=100 libreoffice --calc

which fixes the issue, but again some elements of the UI are broken, like the font selection.

And this after starting with the above command:

Did you check:
Tools ->Options->LibreOffice ->View ->Toolbar icon size

Yes it is on “Automatic” like it was before I suppose. If i change it to “Small” it becomes smaller but the scaling issue is still obvious. It is like the whole application is on lower resolution.

Ok fixed it! One of my monitors had “scaling” on 105%, which shouldn’t create that big difference, and the application was starting on a different monitor. I changed it to 100% (possibly I had put the 105% accidentally…). Now, libreoffice starts with correct scaling.

Yes display scaling absolutely borks LibreOffice. I have two 1080p monitors and two 4K monitors and I either leave display scaling off and have it unusably small on the 4K displays, or turn display scaling on and have it unusably big on the 2k displays. Neither is ideal.
