Leap Micro: How dangerous is it to add alien packages

I’d like to have 389-ds LDAP installed on the leap micro server itself, not in a container. Because it is ment to be the source of all services.

Using the leap 15.5 rpm (added the repo with low priority) I got along. 15.6 wouldn’t have worked because glibc differences.

Also I manually inserted Cockpit modul into /usr/share/cockpit.

What are the risks? Will an upgrade likely destroy the packages? Will them or its config be removed later? I used transactional-update shell.

Thanks for hints
Johannes
