Leap Micro 6.1 Missing rbd Kernel module

Hi there,

I upgraded my nodes to the latest Leap Micro Version and now I’m missing the rbd Kernel Module

Kernel Version: 6.4.0-31-default

Any ideas?

You upgraded from what exactly? You upgraded how?

I migrated from Leap Micro 5.5 following this guide:
https://en.opensuse.org/SDB:System_upgrade_of_LeapMicro

Before the upgrade the kernel module was there

Yes, CONFIG_BLK_DEV_RBD is not set for the LeapMicro kernel. It is in Tumbleweed. I do not know why, apparently it was set in the past. But there is nothing in RPM changelog. I suggest you open bug report asking why this option got disabled.

It’s interesting that on a clean install the module is there

Kernel Version 6.4.0-21-default

after a transactional-update and a Kernel upgrade to 6.4.0-31-default the module is gone

Just as an information…

I rolled back to kernel-default-6.4.0-24.1 and the module is back
