Hi I upgraded from 13.2 to Leap 42.1 and everything seems fine except the Dophin file manager. It seems to disappear when I am moving the mouse across the pop up menu where the copy file is located. A couple of times the bug report window has come up when I was working as root but most of the time Dolphin just vanishes without a trace. I just can’t use it. I am running 64 bit on an AMD 3700 single core processor.
No, it crashes when you hover over the “Activities” submenu.
To prevent that you can disable the “Link files to Activities” plugin/service.

An update for Leap to fix that crash will be submitted soon.
OK thanks I figured it had probably been picked up but I couldn’t see it when I searched the wrong forum (enterprise);). Isn’t it a bit odd that as a user a program I am using can disappear without saying anything?
There’s nothing odd about that.
In fact, every program would only “say” something in the terminal window where you started it from. If it’s run from the application menu or similar those messages show up in ~/.xsession-errors-:0.
The crash dialog is a KDE specific thing to allow easier reporting of such crashes.
In this particular case, the activities plugin causes random crashes in random parts of the code though, not all are being (or can be) caught by drkonqi (the crash handler).
This is also the reason why this has only been fixed in the last few days, not earlier.
