Leap 16 upgrade fails with invalid repo names

upgrade to leap 16 keeps failing due to invalid repo definitions. Need some guidance.
installed repos are below. also shown is a dry-run of zypper releasever dup.
I get same repo issues using opensuse-migration-tool.
I am clearly missing something. Need guidance.

You should read the system upgrade SDB. There are significant changes to the repo layout.
https://en.opensuse.org/SDB:System_upgrade

Repo 1, 5, 7, 17-21 do not exist for Leap 16 and therefore need to be disabled/removed.

If you want to manage your repositories manually instead of using openSUSE-repos, please adjust your repository definitions in /etc/zypp/repos.d/ to match the Leap 16.0 repository definitions from openSUSE-repos.

The repos which need to be removed where mentioned in the previous comment.

I disabled suggested repos. dup process ran but indicated 159 problems that need attention. see below. I guess I need to work through each of this individually.

You were already told in your other threads, that your repo list is a mess and will backfire spectacularly. Today is the day.

39 issues are due to packman
38 isssues are due to R installation from devel repo
the other issues are also caused by packages from devel repos (repo 9-14)

The opensuse-migration-tool disables all the external repos and trys to clean up the mess created by the user. Keep your fingers crossed that the system will boot after the upgrade.

I went through migration tool. It made about 700 corrections before moving to the next screen where apparmor is selected. As it proceeded I saw it eventually recreated leap 15.6 repos; not leap 16.0. It failed at the end. Total text output was too long to capture.

I did not do the reboot at the end of migration tool as I knew things were wrong. I recovered from a “timeshift” that corrected 100,000 or so files. I am back as I was on today on 15.6

All seems ok. If my repos are a mess, I need a template to follow. I can delete the repos that I disabled as suggested. I have many apps that I compiled myself and at time added/adjusted dependencies as needed that I want to save.

What do I do beyond deleting the suggested repos?

@tckosvic Honestly, backup all your important stuff and a fresh install would probably be quicker?

Oh and probably make sure the UEFI partition is 2GB to 4GB in size for future proofing?

Originally there was not going to be a migration path as this type of issue was expected (and your not the only one hitting this issue)…

I am not sure why"games" repo, for example, is considered a development repo. I thought those specialized repos just had more apps selection and more up to date versions.

What is needed to correct the packman and R issues?

I am trying to avoid a fresh install at all costs as I will lose dozens and dozens of apps that I have compiled myself outside of zypper/rpm.

Yes, I am aware that my non-zypper apps will have to be reviewed and modified and re-compiled as needed. But, I have something to start from still in place.
