Leap 16 Beta nvidia-open drivers

Hi guys, there’s probably a simple answer to this (I’m guessing it’s “you’ll need to wait for the repo to be updated”), but would I need to wait until release to install nvidia-open and the other g06 packages from the leap repo?

On my test system (Ryzen 7950X, NVIDIA RTX 3080, X670E motherboard) I can install the nvidia-open kmp package, but the other packages like video, compute, gsp etc. aren’t listed.

Do I just need to install with the .run installer from nvidia for now?

@lazysuse Hi, that would be the best option as it may be awhile before they appear as rpms…

Thanks for the speedy response. That’s all fine. I’ll revisit this later on when the RPMs appear then. I could do it the hard way, but I’d rather not go through the trouble of configuring everything if I’m just going to blow it away when the repo gets updated for ease of updating in future, especially kernel updates.

I’m liking what I see so far with testing Leap 16 (albeit using nouveau). I’ve used Tumbleweed for a while, but would prefer a point release system.
