Leap 15.2 SD card reader on late 2014 macbook pro

I’m trying to get my 2014 late macbook pro to recognize my sd card reader and have not been successful so far. How to?

Bonus question: I haven’t even tried to hook up anything to the thunderbolt or hdmi ports, any idea if they’d work off the bat or do I need to do some similar process?

That will depend on whether driver support exists for it. For USB-connected devices, do…

lsusb
usb-devices

For PCI-connected devices…

/sbin/lspci -nnk

Best to keep to one issue/topic per thread.

Multimedia controller [0480]: Broadcom Inc. and subsidiaries 720p FaceTime HD Camera [redacted]
Subsystem: Broadcom Inc. and subsidiaries 720p FaceTime HD Camera 14e4

Found it with /sbin/lspci…

So any idea where I can find the driver?

Run the command as I gave it, and post the complete output. You haven’t should if there is a driver loaded. Please enclose the output between

....

tags to preserve the output formatting. Alternatively, the ‘#’ button in the forum editor is for wrapping such tags around such output.
