Launch applications with the keyboard?

Hi,
I have opensuse 11.0 with KDE 3.5. I would like to create shortcut keys to launch programs. Is that possible?

I found it in the KDE “Menu Editor”. But I cannot manage to create a shortkey Windows Key + M to minimize the desktop. Does anybody know how to do that?
